The Case For A Jumpsuit
Getting dressed in one move, and why that act of simplification is something worth championing loudly.

Inevitably, when I tell someone about NEON PALM and how we started with only one thing, the perfect black jumpsuit, someone will ask: “But why a jumpsuit?”
And I get it. I’m not one of those women who only wears jumpsuits, or has a closet full of them. I don’t champion the jumpsuit loudly for all to hear.
But there is something deeply satisfying about getting dressed in one move.
No matching, no tucking, no standing in front of the mirror wondering whether the top works with the pants or whether you’ve worn that exact combination three times this week.
You just step in. And go.
And that, that act of simplification. Of feeling amazing in one decision and getting on with the big day ahead. That is something I do champion loudly for all to wear.
And that was the starting point for The Ginger.
I wanted the ease of a dress, but with a little more structure. Something you could sit cross-legged in, commute in, present in, chase a kid in, go to dinner in. Something that could look completely different depending on what you put around it.
- A blazer and heels.
- A leather jacket and boots.
- A strappy sandal and one hell of a good earring.
- Sneakers and nothing else.
You do you.
I wanted one piece with a lot of lives.
In my opinion, there are plenty of clothes designed to make a statement. And that is a beautiful thing. Hell, I own most of them.
But I wanted to make one that made you the statement.
And one that makes one decision disappear. So you can get on with that really amazing day you deserve to have.
And that, friends, is it. That’s the case for a jumpsuit.
